Kim Mulcock – Head Receptionist – Wincanton Branch
“My name is Kim and I am one of the receptionists at the Wincanton branch of Southill Vets. I have worked here since 1987. I enjoy meeting our clients and their lovely pets.
At the present time I have two pets – ‘Banjo’ my rescue dog and ‘Jack’ my grumpy cat. My hobbies include genealogy, walking and going off for weekends in our camper van.”
Janet Courtney – Receptionist – Wincanton Branch
“Hello! I am one of the receptionists at Southill Vets, having worked at the Wincanton branch for over twenty years.
I have two grown up daughters and have lived in Wincanton my whole life. In 2017 we welcomed two new additions to the family – a gorgeous baby grandson and a cute Whippet grandson, both of which keep me busy, one with knitting and the other with walkies! When I am not at work I enjoy socialising and meeting up with friends, spending time with my husband and going on holidays abroad.”
Jill Sweetman – Practice Administrator – Wincanton Branch
“My name is Jill and I have been with Southill since 2001 as the Practice Administrator. Part of my position is to deal with the account side of the business on a day to day basis, as well as the correspondence generated by the vets. I am also the person at the end of each month who generates the wages!
On a personal level, I am one of a few members of staff who does not have any animals at present, but have been brought up with dogs and have a general love of all animals.”
Sarah Wiscombe – Client Care Manager
” I have been with Southill since 2003 and began all those years ago as a trainee nurse. I qualified in 2006 and became Head Nurse in 2008. I had a short break to become a mum to my daughter in 2011. Since being Head Nurse over the past few years, I have decided to have a change and now deal with the practices Client care, advertising, website designing, reception, promotions, and social media. I also organise the practices events.
In my spare time I like to make jewellery, visit Cyprus and study fossils – although my husband and daughter do keep me very busy! When I get time I like to watch box sets (sometimes back to back episodes!), such as The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Lucifer and Dexter!”
Martine Older – Receptionist – Wincanton Branch

I own two cats, and two guinea pigs. Outside work I enjoy family holidays, baking and shopping.”
Laura Walmesley White – Receptionist – Gillingham Branch
“I am now a part-time receptionist at our Gillingham branch since having my little girl in 2012 and my little boy in 2015 having worked here since 2007. I have a degree in Animal Behaviour and am particularly interested in feline behaviour. I enjoy helping clients out with behaviour problems and offering advice to issues they may be having with them.
I have a lovely cat called Princess, who is a soppy, naughty little girl and a black Labrador called Ted. I enjoy spending time with my husband and children and having fun days out. I also swim regularly and enjoy meeting up with friends.”
